About Me

I have been in the food and restaurant industry my entire life.

I began as an apprentice at the age of 13 and have never looked back. From my roots in the southwest of France to San Francisco, my passion for cooking and the dynamic nature of restaurant life has never wavered.

I have owned and operated restaurants for more than 30 years while consulting and writing cookbooks along the way. Furthermore, the enjoyment and appreciation of wine is a lifelong passion, and I've been lucky to share ownership in a vineyard and winery in Tarragona, Spain. 

 

I like to think that the restaurants I've built over the years have been, in some part, essential to the community, shaping enduring relationships with both staff and customers. In this industry, you can never rest - you're always striving to be better than the last customer you've  served.
